News about the new High School PDF Print E-mail
On Monday, March 15, Lanier High School had its PTSA organizational meeting and formed the following committees:  Nomination, Hospitality, Membership and By-Laws.  The By-Laws were written that night.  Officers that will be needed are:  President (or Co-Presidents), 2-VPs, Secretary and Treasurer.   The officers will then chose committee chairs, form a budget and work with Mrs. Wing to develop what role the PTSA will play at Lanier High School.  The plans are for the PTSA to play an active role in managing volunteers and other activities for the high school especially in the first year.

Interested in Serving?  All officer terms are for one year.   The officers for the first year will help set the future direction of the PTSA.    If you are interested in being an officer or would like to nominate someone for a position, please send an email with name, contact information, position of interest and what year your child will be to the Nomination Committee Chair;  Lisa Ramsay;  at This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it

Be sure to attend the Charter PTSA meeting on April 22 at 6:30 at Lanier Middle to become a Charter Member of Lanier High School's PTSA.   Mrs. Wing will speak, staff members will be in attendance to be one of the charter members,  we will have light refreshments and with every PTSA membership you will get a ticket into our drawings for a 4some of golf at Sugar Hill Golf Course, restaurant gift certificates and baskets from local merchants, a LHS Spirit Wear basket and more.  So be a part of history and join us on April 22 as we charter the first PTSA for Lanier HS.  Whether you are a parent, student or community member, we invite you to join us on 4/22/10.
I encourage everyone interested in developing a strong parent support system for Lanier High School to come and participate as we organize our first PTSA.
